Mumbai college to give free education to meritorious students

has decided to offer full-year free education to female students who have
secured above 90 per cent marks in class 12 Board examination.
The college has initiated the "full-free-education" concept to empower women by providing equal opportunity, its administration said.

"Meritorious
(girl) students who have scored above 90 per cent in HSC exams and wish to
pursue higher studies but are unable due to financial constraints or seat
crunch in colleges, are welcome in our college," president of ABVM Agrawal
Jatiya Kosh, the trust which runs the college, Vijay Lohia said.
He
said, of the total applications received for admission, those who obtained more
than 90 per cent will be given free-education which is a rare thing for any
insttute to do and it will nurture many talents.

in 2014, former pro vice-chancellor of Mumbai University
Dr AD Sawant is an advisor in the college.
