Health Ministry introduces Online PG Applications for all Medical Colleges

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has introduced a new procedure for submitting application/proposal for application to Medical Colleges. It is an add-on procedure which will run parallel with conventional procedure of manual submission of applications. As per the revised procedure an online application is mandatory and comes into effect from 15-03-2016. The last date for application is 7th April, 2016.

Applicant/Colleges desirous of filing an application for purposes of (i) Starting of PG courses (Broad Specialities) and/or (ii) Increase of seats in PG courses (Broad Specialities), in an existing Medical College are requested to follow these steps:

Visit www.mohfw.nic.in, and click on the link medicalcollegeappication.gov.in. Candidates are requested to do a ‘one time registration’ using a valid email-address at the ‘registration window’ provided at the link. After the successful registration, applicant will obtain an ID (colleges registered last year may use the previous login ID and Password). Candidate shall login using the provided ID and Password and shall read and accept the Terms of Online Application. All the ‘enabled’ columns of the application form must be filled. Applicants are also requested to upload a scanned copy of consent of University Affiliation, Demand Draft (as evidence of Fee paid) and any other document, if required. The application shall be uploaded thereafter. An acknowledgement, provided after successful submission of the application-form, shall be kept/saved by the applicants for any further follow-up.

Applicants are also requested to file a manual copy of the complete application as prescribed by the MCI Regulation, along with all valid documents along with a Draft in original as evidence of the fee-paid and a ‘signed copy’ of the system generated online application acknowledgement on or before due date and time as notified. It may be noted that an online application is not a complete application and only on fulfilment of the above mentioned condition, an application will be deemed to be complete.
