Benefit of Reading a Challenging
Book
Many times, the outcome of the
student’s writing depends on their reading culture.
The current study highlights the
students who prefer online reading, for example, Buzzfeed, Tumblr scored lowest
in robust measure of writing complexity, including the length of the sentence
and sophistication of their word choice.
On the other hand, the students
who prefer academic journals or critically acclaimed fiction scored the
highest.
