One of the Objective of NPE 2018 Draft Policy

Support emerging technology areas such as 5G, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc., and their applications in areas such as Education Defense, Agriculture, Health, Smart Cities and Automation, with special focus on solving real-life problems. 

Background of Draft NPE 2018……...

Electronics Industry is the world's largest and fastest growing Industry and is increasingly finding applications in all sectors of the economy. 

The National Policy on Electronics 2012 (NPE 2012) provided the road map for the development of Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector in the country. 

Against the aforesaid backdrop, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has formulated a draft National Policy on Electronics 2018 (NPE 2018).
