NTRUHS e-library has second highest usage among ERMED members
Dr.
NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has been recognised as having the
second highest usage of medical educational resources among 70 members of the
Electronic Resources in Medicine (ERMED-India) Consortium managed by the
National Medical Library, New Delhi.
The
award was presented at the National Seminar on ‘E-Resources in Health
Science-Role of ERMED Consortium’ held in New Delhi last week.
NTRUHS
Vice-Chancellor T. Ravi Raju said in a press release the university had
established an Electronic Medical Library two years ago for strengthening
medical education and to increase the readership among students and faculty.
NTRUHS distributes nearly 6,000 medical journals and 400 textbooks free of cost
through its electronic gateway to students and also faculty at all affiliated
medical and dental colleges. The publications are accessible either from home
or hospital through laptops or even smartphones.
