EBSCO Audiobooks’ New Design and Features Create an Enhanced User Experience for Libraries
IPSWICH, Mass. (PRWEB) September 01, 2016
EBSCO
Information Services (EBSCO) is enhancing its audiobook experience with a
new design and additional features that provide an improved listening
experience for libraries. EBSCO Audiobooks now offers a new
audiobook app for listening on the go, an expanded collection of titles,
improved delivery systems and a new, easy-to-use design.
By
partnering with Findaway, a global leader in digital content delivery, EBSCO
Audiobooks now provides access to audiobooks directly from mobile devices. With
a simplified workflow and a fun, intuitive design, EBSCO Audiobooks pairs its
quick and easy searching with the new EBSCO Audiobooks App, making on-the-go
listening easier. The app allows library users to download audiobooks from
their library collections directly to their device, and begin listening
immediately.
The
collaboration with Findaway also expands the collection of EBSCO Audiobooks,
which now includes more than 50,000 titles that will appeal to a vast range of
library users including leisure readers, researchers, language learners,
alternative K-12 learners, vision impaired readers and hobby enthusiasts.
EBSCO’s team of collection developers and librarians have created several new
collections for academic, public library, K-12 and corporate libraries,
including Award Winners, Popular Fiction and Popular Non-Fiction.
Laura
Ricci, Senior Product Manager at EBSCO, says the new upgrades to the EBSCO
Audiobooks offering will give libraries a bigger and better audiobook
experience. “The upgrades to EBSCO Audiobooks were designed to help libraries
meet the diverse needs of their library users. EBSCO Audiobooks will transform
their listening experience by offering a vast collection that they can access
quickly and easily from anywhere.”
Acquiring
an EBSCO Audiobook is simple with the new, easy purchase model. Audiobooks are
all available to purchase in EBSCOhost Collection Manager through a Single User
perpetual access model. Authentication methods for EBSCO Audiobooks now include
Personal User Authentication and SSO authentication to provide secure access to
the audiobooks from both inside and outside of the library.
