Use This Self-Destructing Email Attachment Tool For The Ethan Hunt In You

Use This Self-Destructing Email Attachment Tool For The Ethan Hunt In You

Gmail has been a pioneer in baking state-of-the-art features inside their mailing platform. It offers huge storage for a free email platform and tough security measures, built right into the platform. It also opened itself up to third-parties to provide additional plug-ins and extensions, to enhance the usability. But Gmail hasn't been able to shake off the fundamental shortcomings of email, mainly because of which, the world is moving on to more interactive forms of online communication like instant messaging.

But what if you could send an attachment that will delete itself from the email after a few minutes? Or even unsending the attachments to save you from an embarrassing situation?

Among these useful, yet highly obscure extensions, hides Digify, a Chrome extension for Gmail that does exactly that - it lets you send self-destructing attachments, a la Mission Impossible.

The Digify Chrome extension lets you attach documents and other files that will self-destruct after a predetermined set of time. For example, you can send an audio file that the recipient can view in their browser and after a predetermined 20 minutes, the file will delete itself from the email.

The extension will also let you see how many times the file has been opened.

The extension only works when you are using Gmail from your browser and not from any third-party client. Apart from the self-destructing feature, it also offers nifty security tools like preventing forwards, encryption of attachments and a track and unsend option, to recall any and every email attachment you ever sent.

Now, control your inbox like you always wanted to, with the Digify chrome extension for Gmail.
