The Value of School Librarians
“By clearly outlining what school administrators should not only expect from our graduates, but from school librarians in general, the Library Scholar Program doesn’t just fill open jobs—it emphasizes the true value of school librarians,” says SLIS faculty member Lucy Santos Green. “We highlight personalized professional learning both during and after the program, which gives cohort members and school district administrators concrete examples of the long-term educational strengths found in community partnerships.”
