e-Aksharayan Tool @ an optical character recognition (OCR) engine for seven Indian languages

The tool was developed by TDIL (Technology Development for Indian Languages) under the MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) with collaboration of 14 academic institutions including Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The software supports editing in seven Indian languages - Hindi, Bangla, Malayalam, Gurmukhi, Tamil, Kannada & Assamese.
