UGC @ Show cause notices to two deemed universities
UGC show cause notices to the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) in Sardarshahr, Rajasthan, and the Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF) in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
According to norms, a deemed to be university needs to take approval from the HRD ministry to open any off-campus or study centres. But these two institutes did not follow norms in opening such centres. An inspection of the other two institutes is on. The ministry has given its concurrence to the UGC to issue the show-cause notice.
