Tough Act to follow for state varsities
NO CHECK Maha Public Universities Act made audits mandatory last year, but only 802 of 4,374 have complied so far
More than a year after the government mandated the state’s non-agricultural public universities to conduct an academic audit of their departments and affiliated colleges, only 802 of the 4,374 degree colleges in the state (18%) have been audited so far, according to official data.
The academic audit is a process of evaluation to improve the quality of the teaching-learning process.
