Edu dept and CBSE list exam exemption for spl needs kids
A circular dated 26th September issued by CBSE stated: “It was observed that neither schools nor students are aware about these exemptions and are not following correct way of seeking available exemptions during their course of studies and examinations. It was, therefore, decided to update and compile all exemptions/ concessions so that stakeholders are aware about the same and are included.”
On Tuesday, the school education department issued a government resolution outlining the exam concessions available for 22 disabilities. Vandana Krishna, school education secretary, in the GR, said, “There is a need to build a sense of security among parents of children with special needs which will encourage them to educate them. We need to build confidence among them that their children can learn too.”
