Need to redefine education
In the brainstorming seminar
titled ‘Education without Borders’, educators discussed the meaning and
importance of holistic education. They concluded that focusing on humanity and
psychologically impacting students are essential for mankind’s progress. “In
these 25 years, we’ve tried innovative ways to determine what is true education...It’s
not just about making a career and earning money,” said Meenakshi Kilpady,
principal, Dr S Radhakrishnan International School, Malad. “We thought of
bringing educators together on a common platform to define education again. We
need to determine the kind of knowledge we need to provide for students to have
a meaningful existence.”
