me as Resource Person for One day
National Workshop on “Enhancing
Library Services Using QR Code Google @ Smart Librarianship & Personal
Knowledge Management (PKM)” which was scheduled on Saturday 11th February 2017.
Am also overwhelmed
with the hospitality arrangement you had done for the workshop, most important
the response which we got from participate was also very remarkable.
Am very amaze with the participant passion to learn
new things, almost from every part of Maharashtra & some part of the Karnataka
participant came actually this shows us Sanstha Brand Value, Your Good will and
participant enthusiasm.

on “One Day National Workshop on Enhancing library services Using QR code
Google @ smart Librarianship & PKM” organized by Department of Library
Vivekanand College, Kolhapur on 11th February 2017.
The
workshop was inaugurated
by Chief Guest Hon. Abhaykumar Salunkhe. Hon. Abhaykumar Salunkhe Executive Chairman Shri Swami
Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha Kolhapur, Principal, Dr. H. B. Patil, Assistant
Librarian Mr. Hitendra Salunkhe lead us in prayer. Smt. M.M. Naikawdi Librarian
Vivekanand College Kolhapur has delivered welcome speech & spoke about the
importance & purpose of workshop Hon. Abhaykumar Salunkhe in his
address speech
emphasizes the librarian’s role in supporting teaching and learning activities
of parent institution and expresses his concern about emergence of new
technology in libraries. The Resource Person of the workshop was Hon Mr.
Pralhad Jadhav Senior Corporate Librarian Khaitan & Company Mumbai. Hon. Abhaykumar
Salunkhe felicitated resource person. Principle Dr. H. B. Patil felicitated
Chief guest and thank all. The workshop was well
attended. There were 61 participants in the workshop while the workshop was
planned only for 50 participants.
In
first session Resource person Mr. Pralhad Jadhav gave an overview about QR
code followed by practical hands on generation of QR code & how effectively
it can be used in library. In second session he discussed about Google desktop
and it can be used for data management in library’s day to day working. In
third session Mr. Pralhad Jadhav Sir discusses how to provide
effective CAS & SDI in a innovative way with the help of Google News Google
Alerts. The whole day he discusses various new innovative concepts and ideas to
improve library services & to reach more users. Participants took
keen interest in practical work to acquire hands-on-experience.
The overall workshop was very
informative and was appreciated by participants. All in all the entire program
went on smoothly. Principal Dr. H. B. Patil thanked resource person for his
positive response. The program ended with vote of thanks by Assist Librarian Mr
Hitendra Salunkhe.
