Dear All
On behalf of all accomplice I must appreciate to BOSLA – KJSCE for organizing such an innovative event for all the LIS professionals.
The seminar theme was very much need of the hour for all LIS professional in today’s era.
Key Note Speaker | Dr Medha Joshi
She was enlightened that how Library is changing from Library Centric to User Centric to Demand Centric.
Dr. Joshi also cited about “What is known to be shared”, it is basic fundamental of any LIS Professional
Invited Speaker | Dr. Sindhu Singh, Professor SIMSR on Internet of Things
Dr. Singh explained that Librarians are already familiar with this in libraries owing to the use of RFID, which does the similar thing of interacting with machines but in case of IOT only the difference is it the “Internet Interacting”.
She also discuss how this Smart Device such as Smart Watch, Health Tracker, Smart Plug, Smart Bulb, Smart Thermometer & Smart Bed can be implement as a IOT applications in our day to day work and in the library system.
Invited Speaker | Dr. Shubhra Dutta Elsevier on Mendeley
Dr. Dutta explained how effectively we can use Mendeley Reference Tool, from the point of LIS Professional she highlighted the features of Detailed Readership and usage of Statistics from Mendeley.
Invited Speaker | Mr. Nitin Singh Asian Paints on Mobile Applications
He coined the term Coupled Power (Mobile + IOT).
With the help of Mobile Application how Library daily work can be done easily & effectively.

On behalf of all the participant we must congratulate to Sir Dr M M Koganuramath for his ILA Life Time Achievement Award 2016, we are proud of you Sir!!!!
Such achievement make each and every LIS professional proud to be Librarian.   On more thing I want to mention what a tribute was given by his students at the time of this seminar they made a very informative video on Sir Dr. M M Koganuramath and the same was played in the session.
A special thanks to Ms. Deepali Kuberkar, Librarian KJSCE for such great initiative and for a wonderful infrastructure and lovely lunch.
Our sincere thanks to BOSLA for organizing such type of events in Mumbai region, if we think cost wise its very economically and if we thinks Gyanwise its very knowledgeable event.
I must appeal to all LIS professional who are not member of BOSLA please join the BOSLA and take this initiative further with more dynamic success.
