Abstract of the Session
Session 1 | Intelligent Library
System: App & AI Based Library Services
The human-machine partnership will not only
help automate and coordinate our lives, but it will also transform how
Knowledge Repository products and services will support professional
development. Intelligent Library System is the process which integrates Machine
Learning, Cloud Computing, and Big Data to generate indeed “Apps based” &
“explainable AI” products and services.
Intelligent Library System is thus an
effective way to enhance library operations by improving existing services and
finding new potential innovative ideas. The technologies like Apps, AI are
changing fundamentals of the knowledge domain, we need to prepare ourselves and
institution/organization to leverage the advantages.
This session discusses how intelligent
library system will be considered for the delivery of modern CAS & SDI
services in the library.
Session 2 | Intelligent Library
System: Big Data & Library
Data is considered a New Oil and Knowledge is
considered a New Currency of the economy.
Big Data – colossal data sets that may be
analyzed to reveal patterns, trends, and associations
So, 'Big Data' is also data but with a huge
size. 'Big Data' is a term used to describe a collection of data that is huge
and yet growing exponentially with time.
In short, such data is so large and complex that none of the traditional
data management tools can store it or process it efficiently.
The library is one of the storekeeper or
depositories of the Big Data, and there are many challenges will be faced by
the LIS professional regarding manage the Big Data.
Big Data is a big deal, and it is a big
opportunity for librarians and information professionals to play a role in the
Big Data universe librarian should have professional Skills.
