Maharashtra govt invites
suggestion on draft National Education Policy by November 23
Taking
the Ministry of Human Resource Development plan of 'Natioanl Education Policy'
forward, Maharashtra government has invited suggestion from parents,
academicians and teachers by November 23 online. Maharashtra government in its
44 page report (Link to Download | https://education.maharashtra.gov.in/files/NEP%20State%20Report%2007112015%20Delhi.pdf)
on the draft of National New Education Policy has recommended a
tag-line of "100 per cent students in schools learning for eight hours a
day."
The
School Education and Sports Ministry headed by Vinod Tawde has invited
suggestions from the public . The report poses 73 questions which are based on
14 themes that have been culled out from discussions right from village,
tehsil, district to state level.
WHAT
THE EDUCATION DEPT WANTS
Eight
hours of school every day with six hours of instructional learning
One-year
training programme for prinicipals
One-Nation,
one-curriculum policy
Establishment
and usage of language labs
Linking
the no-detention policy (not failing students till Std VIIIth) with
well-defined learning outcomes and remedial teaching
Teachers
to learn regional dialects and use words from the dialect to clear concepts
