is Audiobook Month - Speaking of Books
The Library has a large collection of new and popular fiction,
nonfiction and biography digital audiobooks for children, young adults and
adults. You can download digital audiobooks from the Nassau Digital Doorway on
the Libby app and at nassau.overdrive.com.
Audiobooks have the power to transport the listener to new places
or to evoke intense emotion. Narrators, who are specially trained and often
well-known stage and screen actors and actresses, can bring a novel or memoir
to life for the listener. Listen to a digital audiobook on a drive, while you
walk, or during your workout. Listen together as a family in the evening. It’s
also fun to listen to a book that you are reading, or have read, to hear the
emotion in the characters’ voices.
