I had invited as one of the Resource Person at MIT WPU Kothrud Pune on 14^th December 2019 for One Day National Seminar on Smart Digital Tools for Modern Library and Information Professionals.

Keynote Address | Prof. Rajendra Kumbhar Sir

It is fortunate for any LIS Professional to listen to him on any occasion.

According to Sir, the reader is never born by birth; the stakeholders from the education domain had to take efforts to create the readers, and the Librarian is one of the foremost vital stakeholders in that process.

Sir emphasize on Reskilling of LIS professional to stay fit in this competitive world.

Sir had given an example of sim card seller their stall, and with a yellow colour umbrella, just like in every corner of campus, there should be a mobile library for the user so they can collect the books.

Sir also has given an example of today's generation mentality that everything should be in the home delivery concept.

As LIS professionals, we should also think about how we can reach to the user for their reading demands.

Sir emphasize the Importance of resources of INFLIBNET and how KRC (Knowledge Resource Centre) can use these resources for their academic purpose.

It's a digital tool through library users can connect, communicate with librarian instantly.

Users can ask reference queries to the librarian as and when they want. It will enhance communication between users and librarians. He demonstrated the creation of instant communication links for libraries effortlessly and straightforwardly. His topic helps librarians to start an innovative service to their patrons.
