AICTE’s National Doctoral Fellowships @ Applications open; Last date June 10

Applications are now open for AICTE's National Doctoral Fellowships for interested students. The portal to apply for the fellowships will close on June 10 while the final list of students eligible for the interview will be announced on June 14.

Please note that the fellowship/contingency will be granted to research scholars admitted in research institutes of AICTE.

The All India Council for Technical Education announced the fellowships recently, the thrust areas of which are:
  • Nuclear Engineering and Allied Technologies
  • Robotics and Mechatronics
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Renewable and sustainable Energy
  • Electric and Hybrid Mobility Smart Cities
  • Housing and Transportation
  • IoT
  • I2oT and Embedded Systems
  • Nano Science and Technology
  • Big Data
  • Machine Learning and AI
  • Drug modelling and development
  • Biomedical and Rehabilitation
  • Smart Technologies for Agriculture and Food Industry
  • Water purification
  • Conservation and Management etc.
The interviews at selected academic institutions will be conducted between June 18 and July 10. List of selected candidates and their allotted institutes will be released on July 15 and students are required to report at the institutes by July 31.

Eligibility:
  • Aspirants must have secured a cumulative grade point average of 7.5 on the scale of 10 or equivalent at both BE/BTech/BPharm and ME/MTech/MPharm.
  • Additionally, aspirants should have qualified GATE / GPAT score during last five years.
  • SC/ST/PH candidates must have secured a CGPA of 7.0 on the scale of 10 or equivalent. General candidate must have secured 75% marks or above & 70% marks for candidates of reserved categories.
  • Interested candidate should be less than 30 years of age as on 31st August of year of application, however, age relaxation of five years would be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST, women and physically challenged category.
The scheme would be valid for a period of three years. The total number of candidates selected under this scheme per year would be limited to 150 per year. Selected students will be provided a fellowship of Rs. 28,000/- per month plus other allowances.
