New virtual reality, machine learning courses at a Mumbai tech institute

SP Jain School of High Technology, a sister establishment of SP Jain School of Global Management, located in Kurla, has recently launched six-month long full-time post-graduate certification programmes in machine learning, cybersecurity and virtual reality. The programmes will involve 16 weeks of classroom lessons, simulations in a cloud lab and eightweek long industry internship. 

The courses will be taken in association with industry. “We have tied up with Microsoft for Deep Learning Toolkit used to teach machine learning,” says Prasar Sharma, director, Emerging Technology Programmes. 

“And our virtual reality course is accredited by Unity, a leading VR development platform. The courses are taken using advanced technology and aim to help graduates enhance their employment opportunities across banking, commerce and consulting.” 

You need to be an engineer or a graduate in mathematics and statistics or computer science to be eligible for the courses and have knowledge of coding languages to clear the entrance. 

Last date for applying for the courses is May 15, 2017.
