Improving Concentration
Mobile phones act as a significant factor for distraction. Students are addicted to social media websites like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. Excessive use of social media sites can be harmful, and because of this, we see students stressed before the exams.
They are unable to do a thorough revision of the syllabus,” said Prabhjot Kaur, a counsellor in a government school.
Counsellors suggest that students should try reading in the presence of soft music while preparing for exams as it can help them stay away from checking their mobile phones. They say a well-planned study structure and an apt study environment are the keys to boost concentration before exams. It is also essential to practice self-control, exercise and stay focused. Eating a balanced diet and taking proper rest are the other important factors that can help improve concentration levels among students.
