The area focus of a manger is to keep people focused, constant communication and motivating the members. Hence learning team management requires planning and good tools of communication. Have a look at the few pointers.

Set goals

Have a vision for your team and tasks in office. Set goals, and work towards to achieve them. The quality of a good leader is to make his team understand the importance of goal setting and motivate them to acquire them.

Discuss the project in detail in the team meetings so that everyone is clear about it.

Make communication stronger

Have a common publication tool which will help all the information regarding a project to consolidate team information. There are drives available online which stores all the documents and images and can be shared by people. It will help the team members to share the information from anywhere they have an internet connection.

It is the best way to keep a tab on the progress of the project and also helps to keep team organized.
Check progress of a team

Follow the practice of letting key team members to maintain weekly snippets, consisting on accomplishment of last week and things that needs to be done in the current week. Keeping the track of all the accomplishment also helps in tapping the team’s performance. It's in the workers' best interests to report what they've done to get credit where credit is due.

Share your scheduler

Sharing a calendar helps everyone be up-to-date with a leader’s schedule. The online calendars are great for marking the meeting time and set deadlines. It also helps team members to know the leaders schedule and his availability to meet them.

Keep documentation

One should always have all the updated documents related to the project.  Maintaining documentation helps when new people join the project, which is already in progress.
It will also be helpful when the project gets put on hold and will be available to you when you want to revisit it later. A team leader should assign key people to keep a track of documentation up-to-date by making it part of their weekly assignments.

Provide feedback

Have meetings regularly once a month and check on things that are working and things those are not.  Always encourage people who have performed well as well as give constructive criticism where it's due. Encourage people to speak their mind and take
