Investment in Knowledge Creation – Session at National Workshop on IPR, Copyright
& Plagiarism
I was invited
as a Resource Person for the One Day National Workshop on Intellectual Property
Right, Copyright & Plagiarism on 7th December 2019, organized by IQAC &
Department of Library of ACS College Onde, Taluka Vikramgad Dist Palghar.
The direct
contributors to innovation and research are Universities & Public Research
Institution. So, I must appreciate the institute for selecting an essential
topic for the workshop. No doubt, the outcome from the workshop will be highly
benefited the stakeholders of the education domains.
About the
Talk
We discussed
the Tangible & Intangible assets (Intellectual Property - IP), Intellectual
Property further groups into Industrial Property & Copyright.
We discussed
the types of Intellectual property that is Industrial Design, Patent,
Trademark, Trade Secrets & Geographical Indications and another IP category
that is Copyright.
We discussed
the importance, promotion, and protection of IP in today’s era.
At the
conclusion, we discussed the National IPR Policy, IPR Cells in Academic
Institutions, and the Tips to protect all stakeholders in terms of IPR
infringement.
