AP’s Model for Smart Schooling To Be Replicated By the Centre
The Andhra Pradesh School Education
Department’s successful Smart Schooling methods are about to the replicated all
over the country. The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development will be
aping the E-Knowledge eXchange (APeKX).
The online learning resource for both
teachers and students is anchored by 120 subject experts from across Andhra
Pradesh. The smart schooling platform has provided virtual access to students
and teachers via virtual classroom experience and subject expertise.
The state government’s School
Education Department officials presented a power point to the MHRD officials a
few months ago in New Delhi. A four-member team of officials recently visited
Amaravathi to find out more about the online platform. The MHRD will now be
launching the National Teacher Platform on September 5, 2017.
The
online portal is a public domain that consists of eight types of contents for
chapters from Classes I – X. Training classes for teachers will also be
launched via the APeKX. Every student who registers on to the public domain is
handed a username and password. After logging in, these students can get their
questions answered and download case-studies. Teachers’ queries are also
answered on the platform wherein teaching methods and content can also be
shared.
Content
is scrutinised before it’s uploaded. Subject experts will be working together
on the joining process, content verification, creation and more.
