This Man's Home is a Library with 8,000 Books, Twitter Says 'Adopt Me'

This Man's Home is a Library with 8,000 Books, Twitter Says 'Adopt Me'

To many bibliophiles , this home-in-a-library is a dream house and want a similar one to themselves.

What does your dream room look like? A room with window overlooking a stream, a meadow, mountains, sea, trees? How about a room full of books? That is what exactly a lot of people on the Internet are wanting after a photograph on Twitter caught their attention.

The image was shared on Twitter by user Shoumik and said that this was the place where he lived. "I live in a library," he wrote.

In another tweet, he mentioned that he own round about whopping 8,000 books. Don't know if our school libraries had so many books. This guy for sure is a true bibliophile and a great hoarder of books.

But his library-home has caught the eye of several people who want to move in to this house with the amazing company of books, books and some more books. One of the guys even wants to be adopted and is offering cooking skills.

Would you also like a house where you wake up to the smell of books and fall asleep to the same enticing fragrance of pages?

How librarians became secret weapons in fight against coronavirus

How librarians became secret weapons in fight against coronavirus

With many libraries closed or offering limited services in a pandemic infecting nearly five million people nationwide, many librarians have found a useful outlet for their resourcefulness and fact-finding skills: volunteering as contact tracers to help track the spread of COVID-19.

Librarians who are city employees may be called upon to assist with weather-related disasters or even events like bioterrorism, John Szabo, the city librarian of the Los Angeles Public Library, tells Yahoo Life. “When hired, we sign a document acknowledging the potential of a disaster, but in March the mayor of Los Angeles declared that all city employees could be cast in some capacity.”

Academic research is necessary, but not sufficient

Investment in research can translate into national development only through pursuit of post-academic research

The Government of India is in the process of revisiting the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy. The policy will guide the agencies of the government mandated with funding research in higher education institutions and national laboratories. At this stage we need to ponder the question: what kind of research should be funded?

An alternative is to use the terminology ‘Academic Research (AR)’, and ‘Post-Academic Research (PAR)’. One can easily establish correspondence with the TRL framework, with AR corresponding to TRL-1 and the rest to higher levels. To provide some granularity, one can divide PAR into early-stage PAR, and late-stage PAR. Late-stage PAR has to be done by large laboratories (national or those supported by industry), while AR and early-stage PAR can be done at higher education institutions and large laboratories.
